ÇOMÜ Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Receives Accreditation
The plaque presentation ceremony for the accreditation certificate earned by the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department of Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences, operating under Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ), as part of the TURAK accreditation process, was held on May 13, 2026, at the Rector's office.
The ceremony was attended by ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, TURAK Vice President Prof. Dr. Orhan İçöz, TURAK Çanakkale Coordinator Prof. Dr. Oğuz Diker, Prof. Dr. Murat Aksu, Director of Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences Dr. Lecturer Hande Kandur Arslan, and Head of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Lecturer Özkan Yazar.
During the program, the accreditation certificate for the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department of Gökçeada School of Applied Sciences was presented to ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu by TURAK Vice President Prof. Dr. Orhan İçöz.
In the ensuing discussion, the importance of accreditation processes for quality assurance in higher education was emphasized, and evaluations were made regarding the educational quality, practical infrastructure, and academic development level achieved by the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department.
It was stated that the accreditation success, achieved in line with ÇOMÜ's quality-oriented education approach, makes a significant contribution to the university's academic development goals.
