Meaningful Visit During Police Week

A meaningful visit from the municipal administration took place in Gökçeada (Imbros) as part of Police Week events. Mayor Bülent Ecevit Atalay, accompanied by council members, visited the District Police Department to extend their week's greetings to the security forces.

Who Attended the Visit?

Mayor Atalay was joined by Municipal Council Members Arb. Av. Şirin Özay, Levent Varol, and Salih Direk. The delegation met with police personnel who work tirelessly day and night to ensure the peace and security of the island.

Mercy for Martyrs, Gratitude for Veterans

Speaking during the visit, Mayor Atalay congratulated all police officers working devotedly for the peace and security of Gökçeada's people on Police Week. The municipal administration also commemorated martyrs with mercy and veterans with gratitude.

Police Week, celebrated annually between April 10-16, is held in memory of the founding anniversary of the Turkish National Police. Throughout this week, various visits and events take place across the country, including Gökçeada.

The members of the District Police Department, who put great effort into creating a safe environment for both residents and visitors to the island, welcomed this meaningful visit from the municipal administration with pleasure.
