April 23rd Celebrations in Gökçeada Shine Under Stage Lights

Gökçeada (Imbros) crowned this year's April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day with performing arts. On this meaningful day gifted to children by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the municipality prepared an unforgettable event for the island's little ones.

The musical children's theater "Frozen" took the stage at Değirmen Tepe Social Facilities, bringing smiles to young audiences. Throughout the show filled with dances, music, and colorful scenes, children joined the characters on stage; the venue overflowed with the joy of a cheerful crowd.

Play Ended, Fun Continued

After the theater performance, activities continued in the facility's garden. Children played various games and lined up at the face painting station. The festive spirit, sweetened with cotton candy treats at the end of the day, turned into warm memories for both children and their families.

At the closing of the event, Gökçeada Mayor Bülent Ecevit Atalay took the stage and presented a plaque to the theater team. This gesture toward the actors who had worked hard on stage all day was met with long applause in the hall.
