Halit Ergenç and Meryem Uzerli's New Film to Be Shot on Gökçeada

Gökçeada (Imbros) is about to hit the big screen. The legendary duo from "Muhteşem Yüzyıl" (Magnificent Century), Halit Ergenç and Meryem Uzerli, are reuniting after 15 years for a new project. The film titled "İmroz'da Bahar" (Spring in Imbros) will begin shooting right here on our island in April 2026.

We last saw Halit Ergenç and Meryem Uzerli together in Muhteşem Yüzyıl. After 15 years, the two stars met for a table read of "İmroz'da Bahar", directed by Özcan Alper. Photos from the rehearsal caused a huge stir on social media.

The Film Is Set on Gökçeada

In the film, two characters carrying the heavy burden of the past meet again in the magical atmosphere of Gökçeada. The story revolves around "second chances" and whether love is still possible. Shooting begins in April 2026, and Gökçeada will host the crew throughout production.
